Cut-in creates one clean 4" or 6" hole per fixture. We use dust extractors so cleanup is minimal, and no other drywall damage in most rooms.

Yes, with a plaster-specific hole saw and careful technique. Plaster requires more delicate work but is fully feasible.

What's the difference between 4" and 6" cans?

6" throws more light and looks traditional; 4" is contemporary and creates a cleaner ceiling look. We often mix them for accent vs. general lighting.

Should I use slim/wafer LEDs or traditional cans?

Slim wafer LEDs fit shallow ceilings and require no can housing — great for retrofit. Traditional cans allow bulb replacement and better trim options.

Dimmer/driver incompatibility. We set the dimmer's low-end trim during install to eliminate flicker for your specific fixtures.

Are recessed lights safe over insulation?

Only IC-rated (Insulation Contact) fixtures. Every LED we install is IC and airtight for insulated attic ceilings.
